When it comes to choosing a college, there are so many factors to consider. Where is the college? What degrees do they offer? Can you afford it financially? Is it accredited? And so much more.
Perhaps one of the most missed issues is taking time to actually visit the campus. Only on-site can you get a real feel for the college. On campus you can meet the admissions team face to face. On campus you can sit on a class and meet some of the faculty. On campus you can talk with real students. On campus is one of the best ways to determine if a college is right for you.
What should you do while on campus? First, get a feel for the energy and excitement on campus. Do the students and facility enjoy the college experience together? Second, get a feel for the community. Drive around the campus and see the area. Is this a place that has opportunities for food, fun, and more? We could go on, but you get the picture.
So whether you’re attending a local college or one out of state, take time to visit the campus. You’ll not regret it. At CCBS, we want you to experience our campus in person as well. On Thursday, August 4, we are offering our next Preview Day. Join us at 6:00 pm for dinner with some of the faculty and students. Then some of our Admissions Team will give you a tour of the facility and answer any questions you might have. Finally, at 7:00 pm, you’ll have the chance to sit in on the first-half of one of our evening classes. At 8pm, when the class takes break, you’ll be free to leave, free to ask the Admissions Team more questions, or sit through the remainder of the class.
