Financing your education can be a daunting task. Many seek financial aid by completing their FAFSA. But another option may be applying for scholarships. While the FAFSA takes about 20 minutes to complete, the scholarship search can take a little longer. There are thousands of scholarships that are offered each year. Just like the FAFSA, avoid any scholarships that require payment. Applying for a scholarship should be free. Take your time to review the scholarships available. And take even more time to apply for them. It’s not a process that should be rushed. Hundreds apply for scholarships each year. So take your time…and make yourself stand out. And don’t forget to search locally. Ask around at your church. Talk to you pastor or minister. You never know who may be willing to help you on your educational journey.
