We’re excited to announce that from now through November 4th we will be collecting shoebox donations for Operation Christmas Child!
Since 1993, Samaritan’s Purse has been delivering gift-filled shoeboxes to more than 198 million children in more than 170 countries and territories. For many children, this is their first gift, and while it not only brings them joy, it’s an amazing opportunity to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children around the world.
Operation Christmas Child partners with local churches and volunteers in more than 100 countries and equips them to proclaim the Good News of Christ using gift-filled shoeboxes, often in locations that are hostile to the Gospel, in regions where whole people groups are yet unreached, and on hundreds of remote Pacific Islands.
These prayerfully packed shoeboxes provide a creative way for OCC and their ministry partners to share the Gospel in a culturally sensitive way. Samaritan’s Purse has delivered shoebox gifts and the Good News to 350 unreached people groups so far and plans to reach a total of 500 by 2024. They also hope to reach 500,000 children on the Pacific Islands by 2023!
By donating, you’re helping to spread the love of Christ with children who have never heard. We hope that you prayerfully consider donating. We offer many different ways to give, including:
If you wish to write a check for The Greatest Journey, please make out to Samaritan’s Purse with “The Greatest Journey” as the memo.
Join us November 7th for a time of fellowship as we aim to fill 50 shoeboxes! Snacks will be provided and kids are invited to participate in packing and making homemade cards. This is open to the public, so invite your friends for a fun filled night!
