Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Counseling Degree Program

“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.”  – 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Carolina College of Biblical Studies is proud to offer a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Counseling degree program.

This degree program builds upon our certificate program and is a more in-depth four-year bachelor’s program. Offered on campus or online, students will learn how to:

  • describe the theology and methodology of biblical counseling
  • develop a biblical and theological understanding of human nature, human problems, and appropriate solutions
  • and apply principles of biblical counseling to specific counseling situations

We’re told in Galatians 6:2 to “bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.” There are so many people today who are hurting, broken, lost, or scared. By offering a biblical counseling degree program, CCBS is training and preparing those who feel called, to bear the burdens of others, and bring the hope of Christ to those in need.

A Biblical Counseling degree can qualify you to be a counselor and assist couples in need.

As mentioned in one of our previous blogs, a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Counseling degree equips students to serve in a variety of different roles. For example:

  • serving as a pastor and meeting the needs of the congregation
  • being a chaplain and witnessing in a hospital setting
  • leading a men’s or ladies’ group ministry
  • taking the gospel to the ends of the earth on the mission field
  • or working as a Christian counselor and helping couples, families, or those struggling with mental health

Proverbs 11:14 says, “Where there is no guidance, a peoples fall, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.” Those who wish to become Christian counselors will be able to do so after earning a Biblical Counseling degree. By becoming a counselor, you’ll be a safe place and a trusted source for family, friends, patients, and those looking for guidance.

It has been a blessing to be able to offer this degree program to our students. We’re thankful for those who feel called to this field, and look forward to watching our students and the program continue to succeed.
